Integration and works with an interdisciplinary team with a chronic disease prevention and management focus. The CDM Clinical Nurse Educator integrates in-depth clinical expertise, experience, and knowledge with the principles of teaching and learning, in the provision of chronic disease self-care management for clients, families, health professionals and students.
Human Resources Exemption: No Experience 3 years clinical experience with patients/families with chronic disease Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) Other Education and Training Nursing diploma is acceptable Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Competencies Basic - Computer skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Basic - Assessment skills Advanced - Communication skills Basic - Facilitation skills Demonstrates word processing skills using Microsoft Office programs Knowledge and Abilities Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients Ability to adapt to changing conditions Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills Ability to develop and deliver formal education programs Ability to competently use computers and software applications Demonstrates ability in teaching,
