Occupational Therapist

Our clinic is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) who is passionate about functional skill development, sensory integration, and helping clients build meaningful participation in daily life.

This role is ideal for an OT who values collaboration, autonomy, and evidence‑based practice within a supportive clinical environment.

About the Role The Occupational Therapist will provide assessment, intervention, and parent‑focused coaching for children with diverse developmental needs. Services may be delivered in‑home, or community‑based, depending on client needs.

You will work closely with Speech‑Language Pathologists, Behaviour Consultants, and other allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care.

Key Responsibilities

- Clinical Assessment — Conduct standardized and non‑standardized OT assessments for motor, sensory, and functional skills.
- Treatment Planning — Develop individualized intervention plans aligned with client goals and family priorities.
- Direct Intervention — Provide evidence‑based therapy targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self‑regulation, ADLs, and school‑readiness skills.
- Parent Coaching — Offer education and home programming to support carryover and functional progress.
- Collaboration — Participate in team meetings, joint sessions, and coordinated care planning.




- Documentation — Maintain accurate clinical notes, reports, and progress summaries.
- Professional Development — Engage in ongoing learning and contribute to clinic initiatives.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current registration with CHCPBC (College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia)
- Experience working with pediatric populations (clinic, school, or community settings)
- Solid understanding of sensory integration, motor development, and functional skill acquisition
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for community sessions (if applicable)
