Ophthalmic assistant/technician required for busy ophthalmology practice in Brockville. Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting an asset but not required as long as hard working and willing to learn. On the job training will be provided with opportunity for external certification if desired.

The ideal candidate will have an ability to quickly learn and adapt to recent technologies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and solid work ethic. Must work well in a team and appreciate the importance of customer service and quality patient care as a main priority. Independent problem solving ability, punctuality and time management are also critical.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

- Assisting physicians with medical history taking, visual acuity assessment, various pre-testing modalities (auto-refraction, tonometry, etc)
- Operation of diagnostic testing equipment including visual field, OCT, fundus photography, optical biometry, corneal topography, etc.
- Preparing patients and assistance with minor procedures
