Job Title : Oracle Cloud Finance Functional Analyst
12-month contract | Hybrid in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area | Hourly Rate: $80-100/hour, depending on experience | Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa
Our client, a large global organization operating a technology-enabled marketplace and auction business, is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Finance Functional Analyst for a 12-month contract.
This role will support a large and complex Oracle financial systems environment that includes Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle E-Business Suite R12, and Oracle EPM Cloud . The successful candidate will take a lead role in analyzing business requirements, enhancing existing Oracle Finance functionality, and supporting implementations, upgrades, integrations, and other strategic initiatives.
This is a strong opportunity for an Oracle Finance professional who combines hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP functional expertise with strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills. The role will work closely with Finance users, technical teams, developers, testers, and business leaders to translate financial and operational requirements into effective system solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis, documentation, design, and delivery of business solutions supporting Finance initiatives
- Work closely with Finance stakeholders to understand business challenges, processes, requirements, and objectives
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and Oracle ERP solutions
- Lead functional activities associated with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementations, enhancements, and upgrades
- Perform fit-gap and gap analysis to identify system capabilities, process improvements, and potential re-engineering opportunities
- Evaluate new Oracle functionality and determine how new capabilities can improve existing Finance processes
- Configure and support Oracle Finance functionality based on approved business requirements
- Support system setup, functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation activities
- Develop and coordinate user documentation, training, and knowledge-transfer activities
- Serve as a key IT contact for business users of Oracle Finance applications
- Partner with Finance leaders and other business stakeholders to identify opportunities for system and process improvements
- Work collaboratively with developers, testers, analysts, and other IT teams to deliver enhancements and resolve issues
- Diagnose application and functional issues and work with development teams to identify appropriate solutions and fixes
- Evaluate Oracle Finance components and complementary enterprise applications
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a roadmap for future Finance technology initiatives
- Provide functional leadership to a small cross-functional team of analysts, developers, and testers
- Support ongoing production operations and ensure Finance applications continue to meet evolving business requirements
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP
- Solid functional knowledge of Oracle Finance applications and financial business processes
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP modules:
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- General Ledger (GL)
- Procurement
- Experience supporting Oracle ERP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, or major enterprise projects
- Strong experience gathering and analyzing business requirements and translating them into functional system solutions
- Experience performing fit-gap/gap analysis and identifying opportunities for business process improvement
- Experience with system configuration, testing, implementation, and end-user support
- Ability to diagnose functional application issues and collaborate effectively with technical development teams on resolution
- Strong understanding of contemporary systems development and implementation methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work effectively with Finance users, business leaders, and technical teams
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives within a complex, fast-paced enterprise environment
- Self-motivated, solutions-oriented approach with demonstrated leadership and adaptability
Nice to Have
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12
- Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud
- Experience working within a large-scale environment containing both legacy Oracle ERP and Oracle Fusion Cloud applications
- Experience leading or providing functional direction to analysts, developers, and QA/test resources
- Experience contributing to ERP roadmaps and evaluating current Oracle functionality
- Previous experience supporting large-scale ERP transformation or modernization initiatives
