As a pivotal team member under the Shelter Operations Manager, you'll engage with clients, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. This role requires you to perform intake, discharge, and direct communication while building strong connections with clients in need. Experience with trauma-informed practices and emotional support are key to helping vulnerable individuals in a busy, multi-program setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor client safety and secure shelter facility
• Conduct intake interviews and client assessments
• Provide advocacy and emotional support to clients
• Maintain detailed incident reports and daily logs
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and participation
Requirements:
• Minimum three months of frontline experience
• High School education with specialized training
• Training in Naloxone, First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidentiality
• Ability to manage challenging environments and situations
