Role Description The Painter role at Pd Blasting Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Aylmer, ON. In this role, the Painter prepares surfaces after blasting, mixes and applies paints, coatings, and sealers using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, and ensures proper coverage and finish according to project specifications.

Day-to-day tasks include inspecting surfaces, masking and protecting surrounding areas, maintaining painting tools and equipment, following safety procedures, and collaborating with the blasting and coatings team to meet project deadlines.



The Painter is also expected to perform quality checks, identify and correct defects, and complete basic documentation related to materials used and work performed.

Qualifications

- Robust practical skills in Paint and Painting, with experience in surface preparation and application on various substrates.
- Proficiency in Painting and Decorating, with an eye for detail, clean lines, and consistent finishes.
- Knowledge of Coatings, including protective, industrial, and specialty finishes, and their appropriate use after blasting.
- Hands-on experience with Spray Painting techniques and equipment, including safe setup, operation, and cleanup.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices, including PPE use, ventilation, and handling of chemicals.
- Ability to read and follow job specifications, work orders, and basic technical instructions.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in various positions and environments for extended periods.
- Previous experience in industrial or commercial painting or blasting environments is an asset.
- Reliable transportation to the Aylmer, ON worksite and willingness to work flexible hours as project needs require.
