Calmo is a new neighbourhood bakery café and wine bar opening near Dundas West / Ossington.

We’re building a warm, thoughtful space focused on in-house baked goods, easy food, good coffee, wine, and genuine hospitality.

We’re currently hiring Part-Time Line Cooks to join our opening team.

Calmo has a small, streamlined kitchen focused on easy, well-executed food. We’re looking for people who work cleanly and efficiently, are reliable, and are comfortable managing their station while working alongside our kitchen lead.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare and cook menu items during service
- Complete daily prep and mise en place
- Plate dishes consistently according to Calmo’s standards
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Restock ingredients and supplies throughout service
- Support kitchen opening and closing duties
- Assist with dishes and general kitchen cleaning when needed
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen lead and front-of-house team
- Work efficiently and stay organized during busy service

Who You Are

- 1–2+ years of line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a small kitchen




- Able to manage your station independently
- Reliable and punctual
- Clean, organized, and efficient
- Able to follow recipes and plating standards consistently
- Calm and focused during service
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Food Handler Certification is an asset.

Schedule

Approximately 14–20 hours per week, depending on availability.

Schedules may rotate between team members.

Some flexibility to cover additional shifts when another team member is unavailable is.
