Position Overview
Young Innovators Robotics Lab is seeking reliable, professional, and enthusiastic STEAM Educators to lead hands-on robotics, coding, and 3D design programs for students ages 5–14.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy leading a classroom, value preparation and consistency, and take pride in delivering high-quality learning experiences. You will be the primary instructor in the room and a representative of our organization to students, parents, and community partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Facilitate hands-on STEAM activities for students aged 5-14.
- Confidently manage a classroom, set expectations, and maintain structure
- Guide students through robotics, coding, and 3D design projects
- Adapt lessons to different learning styles while maintaining program standards
- Create a fun, engaging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Provide constructive feedback, encouragement, and mentorship to students.
- Ensure student safety and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Track attendance and provide basic feedback on student participation
Qualifications
- Curious and passionate about learning and teaching STEAM concepts.
- Solid knowledge of 3D printing, coding, and design.
- Previous experience working with children in educational settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or instructional setting
- Comfortable leading a group independently and maintaining classroom structure
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic about inspiring young minds.
- Class 5 or 7 driver’s license with access to transportation within the Lower Mainland.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Able to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
