The Participant Training and Skills Development Manager is responsible for three major areas:

1. Recruitment & Training The Manager is responsible for recruiting, preparing, and securing paid job placements for seven youth with disabilities during each three‑month cohort cycle. This includes:

- Building and maintaining employer partnerships to secure appropriate paid placements aligned with each participant’s strengths and goals.
- Ensuring all onboarding, accommodations, and workplace supports are in place before placement begins.

2. Ongoing Weekly Support Once youth are placed, the Manager provides consistent weekly support to ensure job success and retention. This includes:

- Regular check‑ins with participants and employers.
- Coaching on workplace challenges, communication, and performance expectations.
- Adjusting accommodations or support strategies as needed.
- Documenting progress, barriers, and outcomes.

3. Post‑Placement Employment Support For youth who do not secure employment by the end of their placement period, the Manager continues to provide individualized employment assistance, including:

- Job search coaching and resume/cover letter development.
- Interview preparation and confidence‑building.




- Connecting youth to community employers, training programs, or additional supports.
- Tracking employment outcomes and ensuring smooth transition to long‑term opportunities.

Job placement will include work from home opportunities and will be based on participant area interest, education and employment experience. Candidate must have strong business relationships in the community, in a variety of sectors.

Minimum 5-years job placement experience required.

Responsibilities:

Secure job placements in the community for 7 youth with disabilities over a three-month period. Interview, assess and select participants; administer and facilitate participant work experience training and help participants meet expectations set forth in their ; ensure a physically and emotionally safe work experience for participants by fulfilling accommodation requests and adhering to all relevant workplace legislation, including but not limited to Ministry of Labour, ADOA, Fit for Duty and Human Rights, Confidentiality and Privacy; identify barriers to education and assist participants with such matters as education linkages and enrollment; provide participants with information and strategies for securing and maintaining a job or moving within an organization, dealing with matters including but not limited to:



mandatory employment related trainings, communication, professionalism, problem solving, working with the public, job dissatisfaction and adjusting to workplace transitions, liaise with Government of Canada officials, complete reports.

Education

Minimum degree in business or social services
