Role Description The Parts Counter Person is a full-time, on-site role based in Timmins, ON. This position is responsible for assisting customers and technicians with identifying, sourcing, and ordering parts for heavy- and medium-duty trucks and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include greeting customers, responding to phone and in-person inquiries, providing accurate parts information, and processing parts orders, returns, and exchanges.

The role also involves maintaining parts inventory, organizing stock,



performing regular inventory counts, and ensuring parts displays are clean and well presented.

The Parts Counter

Person collaborates closely with service and sales teams, supports promotional initiatives, and helps ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through timely, professional service.

Qualifications

- Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to support a positive experience for internal and external customers.
- Robust Communication skills to interact effectively with customers, technicians, and team members in person, by phone, and via email.
- Sales skills to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate parts and accessories, and promote relevant products and services.
- Inventory Control skills to manage stock levels, track parts movements, and assist with regular counts and reconciliations.
- Previous experience in an automotive, truck, or industrial parts environment is an asset.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with parts catalog and inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift and move parts and equipment as required and to work safely in a shop and counter environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or parts-related training is an advantage.
