The focus is on quality and patient/family centered care with a robust emphasis on customer satisfaction.Completion of a recognized personal support worker certificate or health care aide program from a community college or equivalent educationCurrent BCLS certificationPrevious related experience, preferably in an acute care facilityProficient computer skillsKnowledge of universal precautions and medical terminology an assetStrong customer service, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of an interprofessional teamStrong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workloadDemonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsDemonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies,
health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as requiredPhysical Demands:Work Schedule:The successful candidate will be available to work 8-hour shifts days and evenings (0730-1530, 1530-2330), between Monday - Sunday, weekends and holidays.
