Municipal Infrastructure Engineer – Precast Product Approvals (P.Eng Required)

As we continue expanding our precast concrete product portfolio in British Columbia, we are seeking a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with strong experience in precast concrete and municipal infrastructure to manage technical product approvals with municipalities, engineering consultants, public utilities, and other approving authorities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate product approval applications with municipalities, engineering departments, consulting engineers, public utilities, and other approving authorities throughout British Columbia.
- Manage technical approvals for Kasa Group's municipal precast concrete and related infrastructure products, including:
- Precast concrete manholes
- Catch basins
- Utility and valve chambers
- Precast drainage structures
- Municipal castings and related components
- Other precast concrete products used in municipal infrastructure
- Review municipal standards, specifications, standard drawings, approved product lists, and engineering requirements to determine product compliance and approval requirements.
- Prepare, review, and submit technical documentation required for product approvals, including engineering drawings, product specifications, material information, test reports, certifications, calculations, and compliance documentation.
- Communicate directly with municipal engineers, consulting engineers, and technical reviewers to address comments, questions,



and additional documentation requirements during the approval process.
- Provide technical presentations and product information to municipalities, engineering consultants, utilities, and other industry stakeholders as required.
- Coordinate with Kasa Group's internal engineering, estimating, manufacturing, quality, and technical teams to ensure products meet applicable municipal specifications and engineering requirements.
- Review product designs and technical documentation and recommend modifications where necessary to meet municipal or project-specific requirements.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with municipal engineers, consulting engineers, public agencies, and other technical stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of product submissions, approval statuses, technical comments, approved product listings, municipal specifications, and outstanding requirements.
- Provide management with regular updates regarding approval progress, technical requirements, outstanding items, and upcoming submissions.

Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in British Columbia is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the precast concrete industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of precast concrete products used in municipal infrastructure,



including manholes, catch basins, chambers, drainage structures, and related components.
- Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure standards, engineering specifications, construction drawings, and product approval processes.
- Experience preparing or reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, calculations, testing documentation, and compliance submissions.
- Experience working directly with municipalities, consulting engineers, utilities, or public agencies is strongly preferred.
- Established professional relationships within the municipal and infrastructure engineering community in British Columbia are considered a strong asset.
- Excellent technical communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple municipal product approval applications simultaneously.
- Valid British Columbia driver's licence and willingness to travel locally for municipal, consultant, and technical meetings.
