Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and support to an male, elderly person with high medical needs and assistance with daily activities. In this vital role, you will foster a protected, respectful, and empowering environment, helping the client maintain their quality of life. Your positive attitude and attentive nature will ensure personalized care tailored to his unique needs.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support

- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and protocols

- Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while respecting dietary restrictions

- Provide companionship and emotional support

- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning living areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment

- Assist with mobility and transfers,



utilizing proper techniques to ensure safety for both client and caregiver

- Document care activities meticulously, including medication administration, observations, and any changes in condition

- Accompany to activities and medical appointments

- Must be available for flexible or split schedule as required and needed

Requirements

- First Aid/CPR certification

- Must be able to drive and/or pass required Alberta driving licensure requirement

- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols

- Must have patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities

- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently

- Valid certification in caregiving or equivalent credential is required

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
