Drive innovation in quantum technology as a Photonic Layout Engineer at Oxford Ionics/IonQ. Your work will directly contribute to the development of advanced quantum processor units. In the role on the QPU Design team, you will be responsible for complex layouts of photonic integrated circuits integral to IonQ's quantum systems. Partner with scientists and engineers to transition creative designs to production, influencing the trajectory of quantum computing advancements. Key Responsibilities:

- Design and arrange photonic components on multi-layer chips
- Generate layout files using Python for commercial processes
- Collaborate on design requirements with scientists
- Define design rules with fabrication and test engineers
- Perform verification and documentation of layout workflows Requirements:
- Significant experience in PIC design (2+ years)
- Proficient in Python for photonic designs
- Educational qualification in Photonics or Electrical Engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bonus knowledge of tools like Synopsys and Ansys Your expertise will be crucial in creating the photonic circuits that define the future of quantum systems at IonQ.
