Duties

Working with BRQ Music School, a well-established music school in Thornhill:

- Provide one-on-one piano lessons to students, starting from 5–6 years old and up
- Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and learning goals
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate student performances, recitals, and music school events
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and BRQ Music staff
- Stay current with effective piano teaching methods, educational approaches, and music education trends

Qualifications
- Degree or post-secondary education in Piano, Music, Music Education, or a related field
- Previous experience teaching piano, particularly to children of various ages and skill levels
- Experience working with young children, especially ages 6–7, is highly preferred




- A warm, patient, and encouraging teaching style that helps young students develop a positive relationship with music
- Strong knowledge of piano technique, music theory, and repertoire
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students while maintaining a structured learning environment
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student
- Reliable, professional, and committed to providing high-quality music education
