Egg Farmers of Alberta (EFA) is seeking a Field Services Coordinator, South to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, working alongside farmers, and helping them navigate programs, policies, and change in a practical and supportive way. About the Role As the Field Services Coordinator, South, you will work directly with egg farmers across Alberta, with a primary focus on Southern Alberta (ex. Warner County, Cardston, Willow Creek, Newell County, Lethbridge, Taber, etc.). You will play a key role in delivering on‑farm programs, supporting farmers, and acting as a trusted resource and liaison between EFA and industry stakeholders. This is a highly relationship‑focused role. You will spend significant time on farms, working one on one with farmers to support program delivery, provide coaching, and help them understand and apply EFA requirements and initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct on‑farm visits to deliver EFA programs, assessments, and data collection
- Build strong relationships with farmers and serve as a trusted, approachable resource
- Provide on‑farm coaching and support to help farmers understand programs, policies, and expectations
- Support delivery of programs such as food safety, animal care, biosecurity, and environmental initiatives including through coordination and performance of Salmonella testing
- Assist farmers in navigating changes to programs and requirements in a positive and practical way
- Complete remote and field‑based flock verification and reporting activities
- Share insights, feedback, and emerging issues from the field with the EFA team
- Participate in farmer meetings, workshops, and industry events
What We’re Looking For

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility
- A positive, supportive approach, someone who naturally encourages and motivates others
- Comfortable coaching and guiding farmers through programs and changes
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and reliable
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating closely with a team
- Solid problem‑solving skills, able to bring forward practical solutions and work through challenges
- Open to feedback and direction, with a willingness to learn and adapt
- Comfortable using technology and learning new systems and tools
- Valid Alberta driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract and willingness to travel extensively
Experience & Education
- Post‑secondary education in agriculture or a related field is preferred
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in agriculture, field services, or farmer support
- Practical on‑farm experience is strongly preferred
Working Conditions
- This position may be based anywhere in Alberta; however, most field work occurs in Southern Alberta. Candidates based in Southern Alberta will experience less overnight travel and may be given preference.
- Extensive travel throughout Alberta is required – a company vehicle is provided for work related travel
- Work volume is variable. Overtime work is required during high volume periods, with time off in lieu during quieter periods.
