Plant Controller

$125,000–$145,000 + 10% Bonus

Our client is a well established manufacturing organization seeking a Plant Controller to oversee the financial operations of its manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming finance leader who has strong manufacturing accounting experience and approximately 2 years of supervisory or management experience . We are looking for someone ready to take the next step in their career and become a key financial partner to the Plant Leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead month-end and year-end close and financial reporting under Canadian GAAP.
- Analyze P&L; results, variances and key manufacturing KPIs and provide recommendations to Plant Leadership.
- Oversee accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, costing, inventory and fixed assets.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow and capital expenditures.
- Coordinate external audits and tax filings with external advisors.
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance.
- Lead, coach and develop a small accounting team.
- Partner with Plant Leadership to improve profitability, cost control and operational performance.

Qualifications

- Degree in Accounting,



Finance or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of accounting/finance experience within manufacturing.
- Approximately 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong financial reporting, analytical and budgeting skills.
- Excellent Excel/spreadsheet skills.
- Strong communication and business partnering skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others.
- CMA/CGA or equivalent professional accounting studies completed or in progress is an asset.
- ISO/QS exposure is an asset.
