The Polytechnics Canada team is a small group of dedicated and enthusiastic professionals working in a rapid-paced office environment. We are seeking a motivated team player who, like us, has high standards for quality work, is able to multi-task and has a great sense of humour.

Qualifications & Attributes:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field of study
- At least three years’ experience working in policy advocacy or government relations, preferably within a non-profit environment
- High degree of political acumen and awareness
- Ability to draft and edit persuasive content
- Self-disciplined and detail-oriented
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills




- Consistently looks to grow themselves and their contributions in pursuit of the organization’s interests

Key Areas of Responsibility:

- Communicates policy objectives and positions in a variety of formats, including policy papers, opinion pieces, briefs and in-person, with close attention to accuracy and detail
- Monitors a wide variety of academic and non-academic sources to build a strong knowledge of the policy portfolio and peripheral issues
- Reads, synthesizes and shares insights from those sources with a view to putting data and information into context, drawing conclusions and identifying policy opportunities
- In coordination with the policy team, works with internal and external stakeholders and government/political officials to develop actionable policy solutions that advance the objectives of Polytechnics Canada and its members
- Oversees meeting agendas, summary notes and next steps for assigned member working groups
- Organizes and participates at meetings with government officials and politicians with a view to building relationships and influencing policy

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
