On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Portfolio Intelligence Analyst for a 6 month contract to hire.

The Portfolio Intelligence Analyst is responsible for producing trusted portfolio intelligence that enables effective enterprise portfolio management and informed executive decision-making.

Reporting to the Enterprise Portfolio Manager, the role gathers, validates, analyses and maintains portfolio information across the enterprise technology portfolio.

The Portfolio Intelligence

Analyst develops executive dashboards, portfolio analytics, governance information and performance reporting while supporting portfolio planning, investment prioritization and ongoing portfolio monitoring.

The role ensures portfolio information is complete, accurate, timely and decision-ready, providing the analytical foundation upon which portfolio governance, investment decisions and executive reporting are based.

Primary Responsibilities

Portfolio Administration

- Maintain the Enterprise Portfolio Kanban

- Maintain portfolio metadata, registers and repositories

- Maintain the Enterprise Portfolio Roadmap and associated portfolio information

- Maintain governance records, decision logs and action registers

- Ensure portfolio documentation remains accurate, current and complete

- Support administration of portfolio governance activities

Portfolio Information Management

Gather, Validate, Maintain And Reconcile Portfolio Information Relating To

- Investment budgets

- Actual costs and forecast expenditure

- Benefits, risks and dependencies

- Organizational capacity

- Resource allocation

- Delivery milestones

- Portfolio status

- Strategic alignment

- Investment health

Ensure portfolio information is accurate, complete, consistent and available to support governance activities

Portfolio Analysis

Prepare Portfolio Analysis Including

- Portfolio prioritization scoring

- Cost of Delay analysis

- Capacity and resource demand analysis

- Dependency analysis

- Investment summaries

- Financial analysis

- Portfolio trend analysis

- Scenario modelling

- Portfolio health assessments

Highlight emerging trends, inconsistencies and data anomalies requiring review by the Enterprise Portfolio Manager

Executive Reporting

Develop And Maintain

- Executive dashboards and portfolio visualizations

- Portfolio health reports

- Delivery status reports

- Executive scorecards, OKR / KPI reporting

- Portfolio heat maps

- Capacity and utilization reporting

- Investment reporting

- Benefits realization reporting

- Executive governance packs

Ensure all reporting is timely, accurate, consistent and suitable for executive review

Governance Support

Support Enterprise Portfolio Governance By

- Preparing Portfolio Direction Group (PDG) and Portfolio Performance Group (PPG) briefing materials

- Preparing executive decision support packs

- Coordinating governance documentation

- Tracking governance decisions and actions





- Monitoring completion of agreed follow-up activities

- Maintaining governance repositories

Business Case Support

- Review Business Initiative Requests for completeness

- Validate Business Case information against agreed standards

- Coordinate supporting assumptions and background information

- Maintain the Business Case repository

- Support investment appraisal activities

- Support enterprise portfolio prioritization exercises

Portfolio Health Monitoring

Monitor And Report On

- Portfolio financial performance

- Resource utilization and capacity consumption

- Delivery confidence

- Portfolio risk, issue and opportunity

- Benefits realization

- Dependency health

- Portfolio throughput

- Delivery predictability and portfolio flow metrics

- Data quality across the portfolio

Escalate significant issues, trends or inconsistencies to the Enterprise Portfolio Manager

Data Quality & Continuous Improvement

- Maintain high standards of portfolio data quality and information integrity

- Identify opportunities to improve portfolio reporting, analytics and dashboard effectiveness

- Support portfolio maturity assessments and health reviews

- Participate in portfolio retrospectives and continuous improvement activities

- Recommend improvements to portfolio information management processes, reporting and analytics

- Support implementation of new reporting tools, automation and AI-enabled portfolio intelligence capabilities

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum three to five years' experience within Portfolio Management, Enterprise PMO, Business Analysis, Programme Management Office or a related analytical role

- Experience supporting portfolio reporting, governance or enterprise planning within a multinational organization

- Robust analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills

- Experience producing executive dashboards and management information

- Experience supporting Business Case development and investment analysis

- Strong understanding of portfolio management principles, governance and prioritization

- Excellent written, presentation and communication skills

- High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure
