Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Portuguese Speaking - Live-In Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in a home setting. Fluency in Portuguese is essential to effectively communicate and build trust with clients and their families.

Responsibilities

- Provide personalized patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities diligently.
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions.
- Support clients with activities of daily living in assisted living or home care environments, promoting independence whenever possible.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients,



fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere.
- Handle heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers, adhering to proper techniques to prevent injury.

Experience

- Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in patient care, senior care, or hospice care that highlights your compassionate approach.
- Familiarity with dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities enhances your ability to meet diverse needs.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols is essential.
- Experience performing caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and light housekeeping is advantageous.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
