Department / Research Program: IDIGH, Translational Research in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will join the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Research Program at McGill University under the supervision of Dr.

Matthieu

Allez, Bruce Kaufman IBD Research Chair at McGill University. Our program combines clinical investigation, translational research, and advanced data science to address fundamental questions regarding disease pathogenesis, treatment response, disease progression, and postoperative recurrence. By integrating large-scale clinical cohorts with cutting-edge molecular and imaging technologies, we aim to develop a more precise and mechanistic understanding of IBD and to accelerate the implementation of personalized treatment strategies.

Responsabilities And Objectives

- Participate in research projects focused on Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
- Conduct computational and systems biology analyses of large-scale multi-omics datasets, including transcriptomics, proteomics, and other molecular profiling approaches, and integrate these data with detailed clinical, endoscopic, imaging, and pathological phenotypes from large prospective IBD cohorts.

- Contribute to research projects focused on biomarker discovery, host-microbiome interactions, spatial biology, systems biology, and precision medicine.
- Develop and apply advanced analytical approaches to identify molecular signatures, disease endotypes, and predictors of treatment response and disease progression.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including clinician-scientists, immunologists, microbiologists, pathologists, bioinformaticians, and biostatisticians.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through scientific publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
