Principal Clinical Scientist (AI Training) About The Role What if your career-long expertise in clinical trial design and regulatory science could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about clinical evidence? We're looking for a Principal Clinical Scientist to bring senior-level rigor to frontier AI research — ensuring the models influencing biomedical science are grounded in real-world regulatory standards. Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design and review clinical trial protocols used to generate high-quality, regulator-ready datasets for AI training
Interpret and audit clinical trial results for accuracy, consistency, and regulatory relevance
Evaluate AI-generated clinical analyses for scientific soundness and alignment with regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA, or equivalent)
Provide expert feedback that directly shapes how AI models reason about clinical trial data, outcomes, and methodology
Help define standards for how cutting-edge AI systems engage with biomedical and clinical research evidence Who You Are Senior clinical scientist with hands-on experience designing protocols for regulatory submission
Deep expertise interpreting clinical data for regulatory agencies such as FDA, EMA, or equivalent bodies
Solid command of clinical research methodology, biostatistics, or translational science
Naturally rigorous — you hold your work to the standard that real submissions demand
Detail-oriented and able to clearly communicate complex scientific reasoning in writing
Comfortable working independently and asynchronously Nice to Have Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
Background in pharmacology, epidemiology, or health technology assessment
