Private Tutor — Tailwinds Tutoring

Tailwinds Tutoring is looking for enthusiastic, engaged teachers to join our growing team!

We work with families across Toronto to provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring in students’ homes. We’re looking for teachers who enjoy working with students, are passionate about education, and want to build meaningful relationships with the kids and families they work with.

This is a outstanding prospect for OCT-certified teachers or teachers currently working toward their OCT certification who are looking for flexible, rewarding teaching work outside of the traditional classroom.

What you'll do

- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in their homes
- Help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and reach their academic goals
- Plan lessons and activities based on each student's individual needs
- Adapt your teaching style to different learners and learning styles
- Keep parents updated on student progress when appropriate
- Help students develop strong study habits, organization, and test-taking skills
- Create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes

We're looking for teachers who are:
- OCT certified or currently in the process of becoming OCT certified
- Energetic, personable, and genuinely enjoy working with children and teens




- Engaged and enthusiastic about teaching and learning
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable working one-on-one and adapting to different students
- Able to travel to students' homes throughout Toronto, particularly Midtown and North Toronto
- Available for some evening and/or weekend tutoring
- Experienced in teaching or tutoring (classroom experience is a strong asset)

You don't need to be a career tutor — we're especially interested in teachers who want to bring their classroom experience, creativity, and personality into a one-on-one setting.
