Reporting to the Store Manager and SUNRIPE Owners, the Produce Department Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction, profitability, staffing, and cleanliness in their department.

What You Bring to Our Team:

● Minimum five years of experience in a produce department

● College diploma or degree in business, culinary or other related field, or a combination of experience and education

● Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills

● Ability to delegate, lead and inspire a team with a passionate and positive demeanor

● Flexible availability from 4:30 am until 9:00 pm, seven days a week

● Computer skills specifically with the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

● Supervise, train, mentor and conduct annual performance reviews of team members

● Work with Human Resources and Store Manager with hiring and onboarding

● Control inventory of product on a monthly basis and prepare spreadsheets for Accounting

● Order, receive and verify invoices against shipments for accuracy and freshness

● Organize and ensure proper storage of inventory and incoming shipments

● Manage department profit margin by following recipes, verifying product costs, and updating retail pricing for the sale of produce, flowers, juice, gift baskets, candies and other signature products.

● Merchandise produce department products and displays artistically

● Manage production of produce items, while maintaining impeccable cleanliness

● Manage department schedules within assigned labour budget

● Follow and ensure government regulations, company policies and procedures

● Attend Managers meetings and staff meetings

● Other assigned duties as they may arise

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
