Role Description The Production Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Canada, responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations in a fast-paced distribution and manufacturing environment. This role coordinates staff schedules, assigns tasks, and monitors workflow to ensure orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with safety and quality standards.
The Production
Supervisor tracks production metrics, identifies bottlenecks, and implements process improvements to meet output and delivery targets. Daily responsibilities include coaching and guiding team members, supporting onboarding and training, and collaborating with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to maintain smooth operations.
The role also involves enforcing health and safety policies, maintaining equipment and work areas, and preparing basic reports or updates for management regarding performance, issues, and resource needs.
Qualifications
Experience supervising production, warehouse, or manufacturing teams, with the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate staff in a high-volume environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with proven ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate schedules, and manage multiple workflows simultaneously.
Working knowledge of production processes, inventory handling, and quality control practices within a distribution or manufacturing setting.
Solid communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to give constructive feedback.
Competence with basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, ERP or warehouse management systems) to track production and update records.
Commitment to workplace safety, including familiarity with relevant regulations and experience enforcing safe work practices.
Ability to work in office in Canada, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving materials as needed to support operations.
Previous experience in hardware, cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, or a related industry is an asset.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in operations, logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
