Position

Southeast Advocates Inc. (SEA) is hiring a SWIS Coordinator to deliver school-based and community settlement services to newcomer youth and families in the Estevan area.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct needs/assets assessments and develop settlement plans
- Provide school orientation for newcomer students and families
- Facilitate settlement programming, informal language learning, and community connection activities
- Engage school staff on intercultural competence and anti-racism initiatives
- Contribute to quarterly reports and funder reporting

Skills and Competencies

- Strong cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable facilitating group sessions and individual meetings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)




- Experience with electronic case management or reporting systems
- High degree of confidentiality and professional ethics

Community Connections

- Facilitate community activities that help participants explore local resources and build social connections
- Coordinate matching activities and Peer Leadership programming for youth and children

Qualifications

- Post‑secondary in social work, education, community development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Solid cross‑culture abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with case management systems
- Valid SK Class 5 licence and access to a vehicle
- Vulnerable sector criminal record check required
