About the Role JA is hiring a Program & Admin Coordinator that will be responsible for promoting, coordinating, and supporting the delivery of JA’s programs across Ottawa and Northern & Eastern Ontario. The role works closely with educators, students, volunteers, facilitators, and community partners to grow program participation, provide training and resources, coordinate communications and logistics, monitor program progress, evaluate outcomes, and strengthen awareness of JA’s learning experiences across the territory. The Coordinator also supports data entry, and contributes to the sharing of best practices across the JA network.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Promote JA programs as required to educators, students, volunteers, schools, and community stakeholders to increase awareness, participation, and impact.
- Coordinate program registrations, scheduling, and ongoing communications with teachers, volunteers, facilitators, students,
and other stakeholders.
- Provide access to program materials, resources, and training tools for teachers, volunteers, facilitators, and students to support successful program delivery.
- Support volunteer recruitment, screening, onboarding, training, placement, coordination, and stewardship activities.
- Coordinate volunteer engagement and participation to ensure meaningful learning experiences and effective program implementation.
- Monitor program progress, participation, engagement, and implementation milestones to support program quality and achievement of objectives.
- Support learning outcomes and program impact through surveys, interviews, conversations, feedback collection, and evaluation activities.
- Provide ongoing program support, guidance, and resources for teachers, volunteers, facilitators, and students throughout the program lifecycle.
- Assist with the planning and execution of Program events, showcases, competitions, and recognition activities as needed.
- Expand outreach and awareness of JA programs in underserved and underrepresented communities to increase equitable access for youth.
- Assist with data collection and entry into Salesforce.
- Collaborate with regional and national JA teams to share best practices, resources, and innovative approaches that strengthen program delivery and impact.
- Contribute to program reporting, continuous improvement efforts, and the achievement of regional and national program objectives.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Strong administration and organization skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with schools and other stakeholders in the region.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities
- Experience with educational or youth-based organizations.
- Experience with JA Programs is an asset.
- Experience with salesforce or another CRM for constituent and program management.
- Ability to build, manage, and coordinate programs effectively.
- Experience working with diverse communities, including Indigenous and underserved populations, is an asset.
- Fluency in both English and French is required.
- Must reside in the Ottawa or Northern and Eastern Ontario region.
