Do you enjoy building relationships, coordinating programs and helping people improve their quality of life?
U-Turn Parkinson's is a registered charitable organization dedicated to empowering people living with Parkinson's disease through evidence-based exercise and wellness programming. We're expanding into Regina and are looking for a compassionate, organized and motivated Program Coordinator to help establish and grow our local programming.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys both working directly with people and contributing behind the scenes to ensure programs run smoothly.
What You'll Do
As our Regina Program Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting members, instructors and the continued growth of U-Turn Parkinson's in Saskatchewan. This is a hybrid position, with some work required in-person and some work required from home.
Responsibilities include:
Program Delivery
- Lead Parkinson's-specific exercise classes using U-Turn Parkinson's programming.
- Conduct participant assessments to determine appropriate program placement.
- Monitor participant progress and communicate recommendations to the Program Manager.
- Create a safe, welcoming and engaging class environment.
- Set up and clean up equipment before and after classes.
Member Support
- Build positive relationships with members, care partners and volunteers.
- Answer member questions in person, by phone and by email.
- Assist new members through the registration and onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate member records within PushPress.
Administration
- Respond to phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Take attendance and update member profiles.
- Assist with scheduling and general administrative tasks.
- Process merchandise sales and accept donations when applicable.
- Submit expense claims and required program documentation.
Equipment & Operations
- Purchase approved equipment and program supplies (reimbursed by U-Turn Parkinson's).
- Maintain inventory of fitness equipment and supplies.
- Ensure program spaces are organized, clean and prepared for each class.
- Communicate equipment needs and operational updates to the Program Manager.
Community Engagement
- Represent U-Turn Parkinson's professionally within the Regina community.
- Support local outreach events and program promotion when opportunities arise.
- Help foster an inclusive and supportive community for people living with Parkinson's and their care partners.
Qualifications We're looking for someone who is:
- A Certified Fitness Instructor, Group Fitness Leader or equivalent.
- Current CPR and First Aid certified.
- Able to obtain a Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Organized, reliable and able to manage multiple responsibilities independently.
- Comfortable using computers and learning software such as PushPress and Microsoft Office.
- Passionate about improving the lives of others through movement and community.
Assets
- Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Athletic Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Experience working with older adults or individuals with neurological conditions.
- Previous administrative, customer service or program coordination experience.
Pay: $25,000.00 per year
