Pharmacy Roll Out Specialist:-

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Pharmaprix pharmacy teams in Quebec as they transition to the pharmacy management system. You will provide hands-on implementation support, training, and validation activities to ensure each pharmacy is fully operational on the new system.

You will work closely with pharmacy teams, operations leaders, and technical support teams to ensure a smooth and successful system launch at each location.

What You’ll Do

Provide in office or remote support and training to pharmacy teams during the transition to the pharmacy management system





Assist Pharmaprix locations in preparing for system conversion and go-live readiness

Validate that all operational and technical requirements are completed prior to launching the system in store

Support pharmacy staff in adopting new workflows and system processes

Identify opportunities to improve system adoption and operational efficiency

Liaise with pharmacy support teams, IT, operations leaders, and corporate stakeholders throughout the implementation process

Document and report technical issues or operational challenges encountered during deployment

Ensure pharmacies are fully functional and confident using the new system at launch

What You Bring

Experience working i n retail pharmacy environments, preferably in Pharmaprix or Shoppers Drug Mart locations

Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, with experience in AssystRx considered strong assets.

Strong ability to train and support pharmacy staff during system transition

Ability to travel frequently across Quebec to support store implementations ( ~ 80% travel)

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and variable schedules depending on store conversion timelines

Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when documenting processes and implementation activities

Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced rollout environment

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard (physical/logical), switchover, and failover operations




- Expertise in Oracle Multitenant architecture (CDB/PDB), upgrades, and PDB lifecycle management
- Solid experience with MS SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and failover clustering
- Advanced database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and capacity planning
- Experience performing database patching, minor/major upgrades, and vulnerability remediation
- Proven knowledge of backup and recovery tools (RMAN, SQL Server native, third-party solutions)
- Exposure to on-prem to cloud database migrations and modernization initiatives
- Working knowledge of database security, encryption, auditing, and access management
- Ability to support 24x7 production environments and participate in on-call rotations

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle databases using Data Guard and Multitenant (CDB/PDB) architecture
- Manage MS SQL Server environments including Always On, clustering, and performance baselines
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and conduct regular DR drills
- Proactively monitor databases and resolve availability, performance, and capacity issues
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patching cycles, and maintenance activities
- Perform database restores and recovery during incidents and unplanned outages
- Support application teams with deployments, schema changes, and query optimization
- Participate in database migration projects across on-prem and cloud platforms
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application stakeholders
