The company’s flagship Morelos Complex in Mexico is one of the country’s largest gold-producing operations, complemented by an advanced-stage gold-silver project in Sinaloa and a growing portfolio of exploration and development assets across Mexico and the United States.

As the company continues to expand its project portfolio, they are adding a Project Engineer to their growing Studies team. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to play a meaningful role in multidisciplinary mining studies and work directly with leading external engineering consultants. The successful candidate will act as a key technical interface between the company and its consultants, reviewing engineering deliverables, supporting mine design and scenario analysis, and helping ensure studies are delivered to a high technical standard.

As the project portfolio progresses from studies through feasibility and execution, this role offers significant opportunity for increased technical leadership, project ownership, and mentoring responsibilities.

- Serve as the technical lead for assigned study work and ensure project deliverables meet established technical standards and requirements

- Review technical information from multiple disciplines to identify inconsistencies, design concerns, and areas requiring additional specialist input
- Complete technical evaluations, design modifications, scenario analysis, forecasting, and executive-level presentations
- Monitor study progress and proactively identify technical, schedule, or delivery concerns that could impact project timelines
- Support the development of project execution plans as projects advance through the study and development phases
- Act as a primary technical interface between the company and external engineering consultants and specialists
- Lead and actively participate in consultant meetings related to assigned projects
- Communicate technical expectations, standards, and design requirements to external consultants
- Review consultant deliverables for technical quality, engineering accuracy,

consistency, and operational practicality
- Coordinate technical reviews with internal specialists when work extends beyond the role’s area of expertise
- Work with consultants to resolve technical issues, quality concerns, and potential project delays
- Monitor consultant performance and escalate significant technical or schedule concerns to the Studies Manager
- Maintain decision logs, technical query logs, project records, and other study documentation
- Manage project information through SharePoint and ensure documentation remains organized, current, and accessible
- Apply appropriate document control processes and reporting standards throughout the study process
- Support the preparation of technical reports, design documentation, study inputs, and materials required by Qualified Persons
- Ensure study materials are accurate, complete, and delivered according to project timelines
- Collaborate closely with internal teams across geology, metallurgy, mining, engineering, construction, and technical services
- Ensure appropriate technical specialists are engaged when additional expertise or review is required
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to a collaborative project environment and support the development of future team members as the project portfolio expands

What you must bring to this role:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Process Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada or eligibility to obtain an equivalent designation
- 5+ years of progressive engineering experience within the mining industry

- Experience reviewing or contributing to mine design, mine scheduling, process plant design, or multidisciplinary engineering studies
- Exposure to geotechnical engineering, ventilation, dewatering, service water systems, infrastructure, or other related mining disciplines

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English is required; Spanish language skills are considered a strong asset
