We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on, field-focused position for someone with a strong understanding of construction who is comfortable managing multiple projects, communicating with crews and clients, and spending the majority of their working day on the road and at job sites.
The ideal candidate will have previous construction experience and a solid understanding of construction processes, scheduling, materials, and job site requirements. Experience within the roofing, cladding, sheet metal, building envelope, or related construction industries is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from start to completion and helping ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and according to project requirements.
Key responsibilities include
- Conducting regular job site visits and monitoring project progress
- Coordinating and communicating with site crews, foremen, management, clients, general contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Reviewing project requirements, drawings, schedules, specifications, and scope of work
- Ordering materials and coordinating deliveries to ensure crews have what they need to keep projects moving
- Monitoring project schedules and identifying potential delays or issues
- Keeping management informed of project progress, concerns, material requirements, and scheduling changes
- Communicating professionally with clients and addressing project-related questions or concerns
- Coordinating multiple active projects and prioritizing daily requirements
- Ensuring project requirements, specifications, and company standards are being followed
- Assisting with problem-solving and resolving job site issues as they arise
- Maintaining accurate project information, documentation, and communication
- Working closely with field crews to ensure projects remain organized and productive
- Performing other project management and construction-related duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience and knowledge is required
- Previous project management, construction coordination, site supervision, or similar experience is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of roofing, architectural cladding, sheet metal, or building envelope systems is a strong asset
- Completion of a Construction Management program in Canada is preferred
- Valid Ontario G Class driver's license with the ability to travel regularly between job sites
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with construction crews, management, clients, suppliers, and contractors
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and practical construction knowledge
Work Setting This is not primarily an office-based position. The successful candidate should expect to spend a significant portion of their working day travelling between job sites, meeting with crews, checking project progress, coordinating materials, and handling project requirements in the field.
Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and visiting active construction sites in varying weather and site conditions.
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience and construction knowledge.
We understand that candidates may bring different levels of project management experience, technical knowledge, education, and industry-specific expertise. Compensation will therefore vary depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and demonstrated ability.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, knowledgeable about construction, comfortable dealing directly with crews and clients, and willing to be actively involved in projects in the field.
This position is well suited to someone who enjoys being on job sites, solving problems, coordinating people and materials, and taking responsibility for keeping projects moving from start to completion.
