Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ottawa, ON, responsible for overseeing structural steel projects from planning through completion. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating project schedules, managing resources, and ensuring timely procurement and expediting of materials and services.

Manager will monitor fabrication and construction progress, conduct inspections, and enforce quality and safety standards in collaboration with shop and field teams. This role also involves managing logistics for material delivery, maintaining documentation and reports, and communicating with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to keep projects on scope, schedule, and budget.

support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Project management skills, including Project Management experience and proven ability to plan, organize, and deliver multiple projects.
- Expediting and Expeditor experience to manage procurement timelines, vendor follow-up, and on-time delivery of materials.
- Inspection skills to review fabrication and site work, verify compliance with drawings and specifications, and support quality assurance.
- Logistics Management skills to coordinate transportation, deliveries, and material handling for structural steel components.
- Experience in construction or structural steel fabrication, with understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work on-site in Ottawa, ON, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, safety-focused setting.
- Proficiency with project management tools and MS Office; familiarity with ERP or fabrication management systems is an asset.
- Relevant post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail; experience managing budgets and schedules is beneficial.
