Albion Marine is seeking a motivated Project Manager, Marine Projects to manage marine retrofit, repair, dry dock, and modernization projects from planning through completion. The successful candidate will have a strong marine engineering or marine electrical background with the ability to manage technical, operational, and commercial aspects of marine projects. Marine Engineers and Marine Electricians are encouraged to apply. Canadian certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements

· Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Marine Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

· Marine Engineer or Marine Electrician background preferred.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in marine engineering, ship repair, retrofit, dry docking, or project management.

· Experience working onboard vessels or in shipyards is preferred.

· PMP certification, Transport Canada Marine Engineer Certification, Class 2 Marine Certificate, or equivalent marine certification is an asset but not mandatory.

· Strong knowledge of marine machinery, mechanical and electrical systems, automation, and vessel operations.

· Experience with dry dock projects, ship retrofits, vessel conversions, and commissioning activities.

· Familiarity with piping, structural, electrical, and automation systems.

· Experience preparing technical specifications, work packages, and project documentation.

· Knowledge of marine regulations, Class Rules, and statutory requirements.

· Ability to prepare budgets, schedules, and cost estimates.

· Experience supporting technical and commercial proposals and tender submissions is an asset.

· Robust leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with marine design software and 3D scanning applications is an asset.

· Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Responsibilities

· Manage marine retrofit, upgrade, repair, conversion, and dry dock projects from initiation through completion.

· Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, work packages, and technical specifications.

· Monitor project scope, timelines, costs, and quality to ensure successful project delivery.

· Coordinate engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, shipyards, clients, and Class authorities throughout project execution.

· Review vessel drawings, machinery specifications, piping, structural, electrical, and automation systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.

· Conduct vessel inspections, commissioning, surveys, troubleshooting, and condition assessments.

· Respond to vessel technical issues and determine repair methods, scope of work, budgets, and schedules.

· Attend vessels to inspect, troubleshoot, and support repairs involving engines, pumps,



compressors, boilers, automation systems, electrical systems, ballast water treatment systems, scrubbers, and other marine equipment.

· Prepare or review Electrical Load Balance Calculations, Single Line Diagrams, Short Circuit Calculations, Earthing System Calculations, Breaker Selectivity Studies, cable schedules, Instrument Lists, I/O Lists, system schematics, control philosophies, control narratives, logic diagrams, Cause and Effect diagrams, and technical data sheets where required.

· Perform or support troubleshooting and programming of PLC-based control systems.

· Prepare Dry Dock Specifications, Class submissions, technical reports, inspection reports, commissioning reports, and project documentation.

· Liaise with vessel owners, clients, Class societies, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and shipyards to ensure successful project execution.

· Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, tender submissions, cost estimates, and client presentations.

· Maintain complete and accurate project documentation and coordinate updates to vessel drawings upon project completion.

· Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies, Class Rules, and applicable marine regulations.

· Provide regular project updates to the Project Director and communicate any project risks or issues promptly.

· Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where required.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Director.

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
