Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and oversee field and shop projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager is responsible for meeting the project goals in terms of budgets, timelines, customer communication and customer satisfaction while working with our Project Engineers, Designers, Proposal sales representatives, production manager and manufacturing employees, the project manager ensures that each project is delivered on-time and on-budget

Responsibilities

- Responsible for managing and reporting on all project deliverables including but not limited to budget, revenue, delivery and satisfaction.
- Responsible for: managing all interactions with the customer on any commercial or delivery issue and providing a conduit for technical resolution to meet agreed upon purchase agreements.
- Responsible for: providing change orders for all additions, deletions, schedule changes and working with clients to acceptance and agreement of these change notices.
- Responsible for: creating and maintaining key project documentation for each project and ensuring proper allocation of resources to meet project deliverables.
- Responsible for: developing project schedules and maintaining project plans for each project to meet the required deliverables.
- Responsible for completing regular progress reports on project status for both external and internal key stakeholders.
- Responsible to manage customer expectations to ensure the on-time execution of project plans including expediting of customers, sub vendors, suppliers and internal resources to ensure production flow.




- Strong communicator with effective communication skills for both internal and external project teams, customers and vendors.
- Adhere to Pillar’s Policy Manual rules and regulations.

Qualifications

- The successful candidate for this role will have some combination of the following qualifications:
- Mechanical Civil Engineering Technologist or B.Sc., Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years previous project management experience in mechanical field facility construction, modules and equipment and pipe rack fabrication.
- Understanding of ASME Piping Codes and Engineering piping specifications.
- Thorough understanding and ability to read AutoCAD drawings, schematics, field drawings, and plans.
- Excellent organizational skills & leadership skills
- Strong Oral and Written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and innovation ability
- Strong working knowledge of MS-Office, Excel, MS Project
- Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision and to be a team player.
- Strong technical background with experience in rotating equipment and equipment packaging design would be an asset.
- A solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques.
- Effectiveness in the areas of construction, safety, and productivity.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Able to create alternative solutions to problems.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.

Work Conditions:

- Probation period (3-4 months) spent in construction setting.
- 8-10 hour days
- Travel to the site, and off-site locations may be required occasionally.
- Overtime as required.
- Work both indoors and outdoors.
- Will be exposed to construction sites.
