EnReach Hot Tap Services
Edmonton
We’re looking for the person who keeps everything moving.
EnReach Hot Tap Services is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our team in Red Deer.
This isn’t a sit-at-your-desk-and-update-spreadsheets-all-day kind of role.
We have customer inquiries, estimates, engineering, field crews, shop staff, equipment, trucks, tooling, project costs, last-minute changes, and the occasional “we need someone there tomorrow” request.
We need someone who enjoys bringing order to all of that.
If you’re organized, proactive, technically inclined, comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and enjoy being the person who makes things happen, you’ll probably fit in well here.
You don’t need to be an engineer or tradesperson, but being technically inclined is a big asset. Understanding mechanical equipment, drawings, piping, welding, construction, oil & gas, or industrial work will make this job a lot easier—and a lot more engaging.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager, Engineering, Quality, field crews, customers, and management to help coordinate projects from the initial customer request through execution and closeout.
Project & Customer Coordination
- Receive and help coordinate new customer inquiries
- Work with customers to gather the technical information required to evaluate a project
- Assist with completing initial project feasibility reviews
- Coordinate with Engineering when additional technical review is required
- Prepare estimates and quotations for customer projects
- Follow up on outstanding estimates and opportunities
- Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the project
- Help manage customer expectations, schedules, documentation, and project requirements
- Follow up with customers after project completion
- Help build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships
Scheduling & Operations
- Coordinate field and shop schedules
- Assign personnel and crews to projects
- Coordinate vehicles, equipment, tooling, and job requirements
- Send schedules, calendar invitations, and project information to employees
- Track upcoming projects and resource requirements
- Help ensure crews have everything they need before they leave the shop
- Coordinate travel, hotels, site requirements, and other project logistics
- Communicate schedule changes to employees, customers, and management
- Support purchasing, rentals, shipping, and equipment movements
- Work with Engineering and Quality to make sure projects are ready for execution
Cost Tracking & Project Follow-Up Getting the job completed is only part of the job. We also need to know how it performed.
You’ll help
- Set up project budgets and estimated costs
- Track labour, equipment, materials, travel, rentals, and other project costs
- Compare estimated vs. actual costs
- Identify project cost overruns or unusual expenses
- Track field tickets and additional work
- Help identify potential change orders
- Follow up on outstanding project documentation
- Assist with project closeout and invoicing information
- Review completed projects to understand what went well and what could be improved
- Help management understand project performance and profitability
Who We’re Looking For You don’t necessarily need years of operations experience.
We care more about finding someone who is:
- Extremely organized
- Technically inclined and interested in learning
- Comfortable working with numbers and preparing estimates
- Comfortable communicating directly with customers
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time
- Proactive rather than waiting to be told what to do
- A strong communicator
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Able to stay calm when schedules change
- Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Comfortable communicating with field personnel, engineers, managers, customers, and vendors
- Willing to ask questions and learn
Technical experience is a BIG asset. Experience or education involving any of the following would be particularly useful:
- Mechanical or industrial equipment
- Oil & gas
- Construction
- Welding/fabrication
- Engineering or engineering technology
- Mechanical drawings
- Estimating
- Field service operations
- Project coordination
- Project cost tracking
- Trades or technical environments
You don’t need to know what a hot tap or line stop is on your first day. We’ll teach you.
But if you’re the kind of person who looks at a drawing or piece of equipment and wants to understand how it works, you’ll probably enjoy working here.
What Working at EnReach Is Like
We’re a growing Alberta company doing highly specialized industrial work across Canada and internationally.
That means things move quickly.
Some days everything goes exactly according to plan.
Other days the weather changes, a customer moves a schedule, equipment needs to be somewhere else, a project changes scope, and suddenly the entire plan needs to be rebuilt.
That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for someone who can eventually become the person everyone trusts to know:
What does the customer need?
Can we do it?
What will it cost?
Who’s going where?
When are they going?
What are they taking?
Are we actually ready?
And when it’s finished—did the project perform the way we expected?
If that sounds strangely satisfying to you, we’d like to hear from you.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
