Enhance mental health for youth with the Vancouver Early Psychosis Intervention Program as a Psychiatrist at Vancouver Coastal Health. Deliver comprehensive care and support for those facing first-episode psychosis. As a part time Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in a multidisciplinary team aimed at helping youth and young adults aged 13-30.
Your responsibilities include assessment, medication management, therapy, and collaboration for comprehensive mental health interventions. The position requires sensitivity towards cultural needs and responsiveness to trauma. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses
- Manage ongoing care, including medication and therapy
- Facilitate family involvement in treatment plans
- Offer crisis management support within a community-based framework
- Work with a focus on concurrent disorders and recovery-oriented care Requirements:
- Current full licensure from CPSBC
- Eligibility for CCFP and FRCPC designations
- Engagement with UBC Faculty of Medicine as clinical faculty
- Experience in psychopharmacology and trauma-informed care
