Health Inspector is responsible for a comprehensive environmental health program in the community. Using a variety of qualified and technical skills the public health inspector protects individual and community wellness through health promotion activities and enforcement of provincial acts and regulations as well as bylaws. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective
Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (BSEH) Licenses Certificate in Public Health Inspector (Canada) (CPHI(C)) Knowledge and Abilities Ability to performs tech. assessments, provides consultative/educational services Ability to investigate complaints to ensure compliance with legislation Ability to facilitate reduction of communicable diseases and health hazards Ability to facilitate community development and encourages a healthy environment Provide training/info. for residential, recreation,
