QA Automation Engineer – Python/Java

About the Role

Our consulting client is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support the development and execution of automated testing solutions for enterprise applications. The successful candidate will work closely with development and QA teams to build, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks while ensuring the quality and reliability of software releases.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and enterprise applications.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop automation using Python or Java.
- Write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation.
- Perform testing in UNIX/Linux environments.
- Utilize test management tools such as Jira and qTest for test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Robot Framework, or Cypress.




- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Support performance testing initiatives using tools such as JMeter, Locust, or K6.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify defects and ensure high-quality software delivery.

What You Bring
- Strong experience with Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and UNIX/Linux.
- Experience using Jira and qTest for test management.
- Robust knowledge of automation frameworks including Selenium, Robot Framework, or Cypress.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with performance testing tools including JMeter, Locust, or K6.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Compensation The hourly rate for this position is $41.04/hour . Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, employment type, and other relevant factors.
