Position: Test Automation Engineer

Location: Toronto (2-4 days hybrid)

Contract: Long Term

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Java and/or Python.

Create detailed test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test data based on business and technical requirements.

Analyze requirements and identify appropriate testing strategies and automation opportunities.

Execute automated and manual test cases across different application environments.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Identify, document, track, and manage software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test suites.

Participate in test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting activities.

Analyze test results and provide clear status reports and defect summaries.

Use JIRA for test/defect tracking, issue management, and project collaboration.





Leverage GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development/testing tools to improve automation productivity and code quality.

Ensure test documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in Test Automation.

Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver.

Proficiency in Java and/or Python for test automation.

Experience creating and executing comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.

Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Experience with defect identification, documentation, tracking, and resolution.

Hands-on experience with JIRA.

Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding/testing tools.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
