Position: Quality Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON (2-4 days hybrid)

Contract: Long Term

Rate: 50/hr + HST

Key Responsibilitie sDesign, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs

.Perform API testing using ReadyAPI/SoapUI, including REST and SOAP services

.Create and maintain automated API test suites, test cases, assertions, data-driven tests, and regression suites using ReadyAPI

.Perform UI automation testing using Katalon Studio

.Develop and maintain reusable automation scripts and test objects using Katalon

.Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing

.Validate API request/response payloads, HTTP status codes, headers, authentication, and data integrity

.Test RESTful and SOAP web services and validate JSON/XML responses

.Perform database validation using SQL to verify backend data

.Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA

.Analyze test failures and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues

.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

.Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines where applicable





.Maintain test documentation, test execution reports, and automation frameworks

.Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage

Required Skil ls5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Software Testin g.Strong hands-on experience with API Testin g.Strong experience with ReadyAPI / SoapU

I.Hands-on experience creating API automation frameworks and test suites using ReadyAP

I.Strong experience with Katalon Studio for UI automation testin g.Experience with web application functional and regression testin g.Strong knowledge of REST API and SOAP web service s.Experience validating JSON and XML request/response payload s.Strong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, and API validation s.Good knowledge of SQL and database testin g.Experience with JIRA or similar defect/test management tool s.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment s.Robust understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, test execution, and defect life cycl e.
