Job Summary

Unique Blow Moulding Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards. The successful candidate will perform inspections throughout the manufacturing process, support production quality activities, maintain quality records, and help ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, and company procedures.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

- Perform receiving inspections on raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections of products according to quality plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Read and interpret technical bottle drawings to verify dimensional and design specifications.
- Monitor and support daily production quality activities on the shop floor.
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials and products and communicate containment or corrective actions to production personnel.
- Issue quality alerts and rework instructions and assist with operator training as required.
- Create sorting and rework instructions and guide inspectors during rework activities.
- Manage and review held product inventory on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including proper identification, segregation, area maintenance, and transaction tracking.
- Collect, retain, and manage production samples and quality records in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the QA laboratory and inspection equipment.




- Verify calibration status of measuring equipment before use and report any equipment found to be damaged or out of calibration.
- Support corrective actions, problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collect operational data and samples to support quality, food safety, and reporting requirements.
- Conduct work measurements and report inefficiencies or deviations from standards.
- Generate, maintain, and retain quality records in accordance with company SOPs, GMP, and SQF requirements.
- Immediately report any food safety, quality, legality, or regulatory concerns to the Quality Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, GMP requirements, food safety programs, and quality management systems.
- Be available to work swing shifts and weekends as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
- Comply with personal hygiene requirements, including wearing clean clothing and required GMP protective equipment.

Authority

- Place incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished goods on hold when product conformity is in question.
- Reject materials or products that do not meet approved specifications.
- Stop production and immediately notify supervision when a significant quality or food safety issue is identified.
- Initiate containment of non-conforming products pending disposition by authorized personnel.

Qualifications

Required





- Previous experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of quality inspection techniques and quality management systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, product specifications, and inspection instructions.
- Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

- Experience in plastic blow moulding, injection moulding, or packaging manufacturing.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF Food Safety requirements.
- Experience using ERP or quality management systems.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lb (11 kg) occasionally.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and quality management systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, product specifications, and inspection instructions.
- Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
