X-Ray Technologist – Diagnostic Imaging

? Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible Shifts Based on Facility Needs

? Contract: 4-13 Weeks (Extension Possible)

Position Summary

Russell Tobin is seeking qualified X-Ray Technologists for travel and contract assignments across healthcare facilities in British Columbia. This role offers an exciting prospect to work in diverse clinical environments, including hospitals, community health centers, and rural healthcare facilities, while delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services that support patient care and clinical decision-making.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to provide safe, accurate, and patient-focused imaging services.

Responsibilities

- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician requisitions and established imaging protocols.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout imaging procedures.
- Verify patient identification, clinical history, and imaging requests before examinations.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment in compliance with radiation safety and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within electronic health record (EHR) and imaging systems.
- Educate and support patients by explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient privacy, workplace safety, and organizational policies at all times.




- Adapt effectively to different clinical settings, workflows, and healthcare teams across British Columbia.

Requirements

- Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiography / X-Ray Technology Program .
- Current registration and good standing with CAMRT and/or the applicable provincial regulatory body.
- Previous experience as an X-Ray Technologist preferred; new graduates with relevant clinical training may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging equipment, radiation safety practices, and imaging protocols.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in fast-paced healthcare environments.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as required.
