Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Railway Equipment Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate and maintain heavy railway equipment to support construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient operations across our diverse projects while contributing to the successful completion of critical infrastructure work.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy railway equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and Caterpillar machinery to support construction and maintenance activities
- Conduct routine inspections and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Safely operate heavy machinery including loaders, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery in accordance with safety standards
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of construction sites by moving materials and preparing work areas




- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, or similar machinery in construction or industrial settings
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on heavy equipment
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1A or 3 considered an asset)
- Familiarity with heavy equipment brands such as Caterpillar or similar manufacturers
- Experience working with farm machinery or other large-scale machinery is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
- Construction experience or background in civil heavy construction projects is highly desirable
- Willingness to travel and work flexible sche3dules, including weekends and overtime when required
