Role Overview

As the first point of contact the Receptionist plays a vital role in shaping the experience of everyone that comes through the door. Reporting to the WCD Team Lead, this position is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and seamless front-of-house experience for employees, clients, and visitors.

Your attention to detail, proactive mindset, and passion for delivering exceptional service will help ensure our office runs smoothly and reflects the high standards of WCD.

Responsibilities

As the first point of contact for employees, guests, and external partners, this role is responsible for delivering a skilled, welcoming, and efficient front-of-house experience. The position plays a key role in supporting daily facility operations by ensuring a safe, organized, and well-maintained work environment, while providing administrative and customer service support to internal teams. A strong focus on communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail is essential to successfully manage a variety of tasks and interactions.

Primary responsibilities include: Greet employees and guests professionally and courteously

Welcome visitors and guide register into the system as guests

Alert internal contact of their visitors’ arrival

Issue visitor cards & track returns

Guide 3rd party services companies to designated floors

Support with Administration purchase order creation

Alert security of any entry door breaches





Maintain the coffee machines on the reception floor

Answer telephone, screen and direct calls to appropriate parties.

Provide general administrative support to the Facility team.

Maintain appropriate records and provide reports for areas of responsibility.

Ensure consistent implementation of standards for clean and tidy facilities and support operations through site-base auditing. Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

Handle all employee and guest inquires professionally and courteously

Cross train with other team members for sick time and vacation coverage

Offer exceptional customer service at all times

Additional tasks as assigned This role is highly hands-on and requires regular movement throughout the office, including frequent walking between floors to support workplace and facilities-related activities.

Additional responsibilities include: Setting up and decommissioning workstations

Preparing and resetting boardrooms and meeting spaces

Maintaining kitchen area with fridge maintenance, coffee stations, and loading and unloading the dishwasher Candidate Profile

Education High school diploma or GED is a requirement Skills and Experience A solid understanding of computers and office equipment is a requirement

Strong ability to remain organized and manage multiple projects and duties and conflicting timelines

Skills to be detail-oriented is a requirement

Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise

Strong fluency in English written and verbal skills is a requirement
