Cerberus Auto Styling is a custom automotive shop at 77 Ave and Blackfoot. We do collision and insurance repair, and we do full custom builds, restorations, and one-off metal work. We also build the giveaway vehicles for Cerberus Collective, which means a few times a year the whole shop takes a truck from stock to finished and hands it to somebody.

Most body shops in this city run one job type. Insurance work, all day, every day, until you retire. We do that work too and it pays well here. But if you got into this trade because you liked building things, and you've spent the last five years pulling quarter panels off rental fleet sedans, this is the job you've been waiting for.

We're looking for one journeyman body tech with real welding and fabrication ability, steel and aluminum both. Not "I've run a MIG a few times." Someone who can lay a clean weld, cut and fit a patch panel, and fab a bracket that looks like it came off the line.

Aluminum is not optional here. Half the trucks that roll through this shop are aluminum bodied. F-150s since 2015, Super Duty F-250 and F-350 cabs and boxes since 2017, and it's only spreading. If you can't work aluminum, you can't do half the work.

The work

- Panel repair and replacement on collision and insurance jobs
- MIG welding on steel: plug welds, butt welds, spot welds, silicon bronze
- Aluminum panel repair: pulse MIG, rivet bonding, self-piercing rivets, dent and dolly work on aluminum skins, and keeping aluminum work isolated from steel so you're not cross-contaminating
- Rust repair and patch panel fabrication
- Custom metal fab for build work: brackets, mounts, filler panels, one-off pieces




- Body filler and finish prep to a standard that doesn't come back from the paint booth

What we're after

- Journeyman or Red Seal auto body ticket preferred. No ticket but you've got the hands and the years? Apply anyway and tell us about it in the message.
- Hands-on aluminum experience. Late-model aluminum body trucks are a big share of what we see, and this is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have. Tell us what aluminum work you've done and on what.
- Welding ability is the other thing we can't flex on. It's the specific gap this seat exists to fill.
- You can read an estimate and work off it without being walked through every line

- Your own hand tools

- Valid driver's license
- You care what the piece looks like when nobody's checking it

What you get

- $30 to $40 an hour, set by what you can actually do
