Summary: The Cloud & Dedicated Hosting Systems Architect Consultant designs and implements frameworks to optimize cloud and dedicated hosting costs (KonectHosting vs. AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes) while maximizing business value. This senior-level role drives financial accountability, creates automated cost-saving strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances), and collaborates with engineering to align cloud and dedicated architecture with financial goals.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Equivalent
- 5+ Years Cloud & Dedicated Hosting “Project & Product Management” (Agile Scrum)
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of cloud | dedicated architecture and pricing models (AWS, Azure & GCP), including AI/SaaS cost implications.
- FinOps Proficiency:
Experience with tools like CloudHealth, Cloudability, or Flexera.
- Analytical Ability: Strong skills in interpreting complex cloud and dedicated billing data.
- Communication: Ability to present financial and technical data to C-suite stakeholders.
- Highly Experienced with “SaaS Modular Cloud & Dedicated Hosting Platforms”
- Highly Experienced with “Quality Control Workmanship Analyzation” (Test & Verify)
- Strong Network of Operational Resources
DAILY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy & Architecture: Design, implement, and improve FinOps (FOSS) frameworks across multi-cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, Kubernetes).
- Cost Optimization: Analyze usage patterns and implement savings through rightsizing, reserved instances, and workload scheduling.
- Governance & Tagging: Establish and automate cost allocation policies and tagging strategies to ensure 100% visibility.
- Collaboration: Act as a technical advisor to engineering, DevOps, and finance teams, fostering a culture of FinOps.
- Reporting & Tooling: Develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time visibility into cloud and dedicated spend and trends.
- Mentorship: Lead and mentor FinOps engineers on best practices.
AVAILABILITY
- Hours of Availability: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm EST (New York).
- 60-Day Probation Period: Part time (Hours Dependent on Probation Projects)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Hourly Rate: $50.00 per Hour (USD) - Compensation Negotiable Based on Experience
