Associate Therapist (Independent Contractor)

Cala Counselling is a relationship therapy clinic offering individual and couples/relationship work, grounded in attachment, attunement, and depth-oriented care. We support clients in building safer, more connected relationships, with themselves and each other, through relational and somatic approaches.

About the Role

This is a part-time associate position with the opportunity to grow into a fuller caseload over time. The Associate Therapist will provide individual and/or couples counselling services while practicing under the Cala Counselling brand.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking clinicians who align with Cala Counselling's relational, attachment-based approach, with a particular interest in couples work and intimacy/sex therapy.

Required Qualifications

- Registered or qualifying clinician in good standing (RCC)
- Interest or training in attachment-based therapy, couples work, and intimacy/sex therapy
- Professional liability insurance with minimum $3M coverage
- Strong ethical and professional practice standards
- Comfort working with relational and emotional depth
- Availability for in-person work in Vancouver

Strongly Preferred

- Spanish speaker (native or high fluency)
- Somatic, attachment-based, trauma-informed, or relational clinical orientation

Schedule and Availability





This role includes a combination of in-person and virtual work.

In-Person Availability

- 2 or 3 in-person days per week (schedule to be coordinated)

Additional in-person days may become available later in the year as the practice grows.

Virtual Availability

Additional online therapy days may be added based on mutual availability and clinician preference.

Weekly Availability Expectations

- Minimum availability: approximately 10 client hours per week
- Preferred availability: 15 or more client hours per week

This supports sustainable caseload growth and continuity of care.

Evening Availability

At least one evening per week is expected (until 6:00pm or later) to meet client demand.

Compensation and Support

- 60/40 revenue split (Associate / Practice)
- Monthly payout
- Furnished office space provided
- Booking, billing, and payment processing managed by the Practice
- Website listing and marketing exposure
- Adaptable work schedule that meets your needs
