Job Summary

Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials and equipment
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology when applicable
- Manage patient flow by checking in patients, updating medical histories, and answering their questions with professionalism
- Maintain accurate dental records using software such as Dentrix and Epic, ensuring compliance with privacy standards
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
- Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits,
and handling administrative tasks
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic for record keeping and scheduling
- Experience working with orthodontics cases and pediatric patients to provide tailored care
- Solid understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry for accurate documentation and communication
- Ability to operate CAD systems for digital imaging and treatment planning when required
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and external providers
- Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization techniques, and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe environment
