Position: Part time Dental Hygienist

Schedule: Thursdays, 1:30 PM–7:00 PM

Location: Barrie, ON Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral health care! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our busy dental practice. Duties

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
- Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing,



and dietary advice to prevent dental issues.
- Assist in diagnosing oral health conditions by documenting findings and communicating with the dental team.
- Support the dental office by managing patient records using Abeldent or similar practice management software.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth workflow during procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions, explaining treatment plans, and ensuring a positive experience for every visitor.

Requirements

- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
- Proven experience in dental hygiene, preferably within a fast-paced dental office environment.
- Knowledge of dental software such as Abeldent is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members including dental assistants and front office staff.
