Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
- Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans for patients
- Manage patient records using dental practice management software
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in ON
- Must hold malpractice insurance
- Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
